Alumnus and Rock Learning Center Director, Robert Gorini, MTS, 2012 (lead vocals and acoustic guitar) and alumnus Kris Mohrman, MTS, 2009 (piano) present a powerful new worship song and live video “Salvation Came.”
About the band:
A worship expression that is pure, one that we believe God accepts and honors, is one that provokes us towards action, specifically towards helping those in need.
Nonparell exists to participate in furthering the Kingdom of God through music and the arts. We believe that biblical worship far outreaches musical expression alone. A worship expression that is pure, one that we believe God accepts and honors, is one that provokes us towards action, specifically towards helping those in need. However, we believe social justice does not hold the answer alone; more importantly we want to spread the love of Christ, which is the full remedy for those whom are hurting and in need. Our mission is to both magnify the glory of God through our music as well as present Christ to the world in practical and spiritual ways. We confess that above all manner of life Christ has been exalted, begotten of the Father before all ages, Light of Light, true God of true God, of one Substance with the Father, through whom all things were made. We believe in the Father All Sovereign, One Lord Jesus Christ, only begotten of the Father, and in the Holy Spirit the Lord and Life-giver. We recognize that though three distinct person we declare both their power in union and distinction in order. There is One God, by who His Word and Wisdom created all things. The Lord our God IS the nonparell.
In the Summer of 2010 writers Robert Gorini and Chris Ladwig started working and developing their ideas to create what is now called “Nonparell”. Chris with his years of experience on the road writing, touring and playing in bands accompanied by Rob’s 10 years of worship ministry set out to create a musical expression accompanied by the worship team at the Rock Church of Daytona Beach Fl., that would provoke worshippers to pursue God in and out of the church arena. Robert says in an interview: “The desire to experience and interact with God in a personal and corporate manner has always been at the center of our writing approach. We want to create an environment that brings people into God’s presence whether by themselves in their car or in a congregation of worshippers. I personally believe that the Biblical worship expression extends and far out reaches musical expression alone. Worship is not just a hobby. In fact, realizing the magnificence of God in both the spectacular and mundane of my life is why I’m compelled to write music.” The Nonparell leads worship regularly at the bands home church at Rock Church in Daytona Beach Florida where their ministry covering Pastors Fred and Phyllis Gorini reside.
