The Kaleo Institute is Praying for Nurse Nina Pham

“By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.” , ESV

Nurses are heroes, it really is that simple. We rightly celebrate firefighters, police officers, and military, but when things go wrong, nurses are the selfless individuals who care for all of them. This week the entire nation has seen the selfless beauty of those in the nursing profession, watching in disbelief as 26 year old Nina Pham battles the deadly Ebola virus that she contracted while caring for a dying stranger.

Nina Pham is a person of strong faith, one who is believing in the power of Jesus to heal her body from this terrible disease. I would ask that the Kaleo family stands with her in faith, making petition to our Lord for her full recovery.

Father, we pray for your healing touch. We ask that you give Nina strength and encourage her today. May she sense your peace, knowing that you are right there beside her. In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit we pray, Amen

The Lord be with you,

Dr. Chris

Vice President of Academic Development, The Kaleo Institute
