About The Kaleo Institute

The faculty, staff, administration, and board of The Kaleo Institute stand together on the foundation that all believers in Jesus are called into ministry. Through focused preparation, centered in the study of the Word of God, Kaleo can help equip you to fulfill all that the Lord has prepared for you to do!

What are a few of our recent graduates doing with the Kaleo degree?

Let us answer a few questions you may have…

If the school were to be summarized in just one word, what would it be?
The Kaleo Institute is all about “relationships.” The Kaleo Insitute is grounded in the covenant relationship that we have in Christ and built through personal relationships that are cultivated by The Word of God. Every student, staff and faculty member is an important part of our community; we want to invite you to join the family.

What does “The Kaleo Institute” stand for?
Kaleo is the English transliteration of the Greek word for “calling”. As Christians we are all called to be ministers of the Gospel of Jesus. Jesus tells His disciples, in what has become known as “The Great Commandment”, to “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”* At The Kaleo Institute our mission is “to provide quality, Biblically based academic programs and one on one mentoring to prepare and equip Christian ministers, professionals, and laypersons, for their religious and professional lives.” In other words, The Kaleo Institute is designed to help prepare you for your calling.

What about academics?
The Kaleo Institute academics are about life transformation, not simply information transferal. Every class is challenging, when you are enrolled as a student you will work hard. The difference is that each of our courses is designed to be immediately applicable to your current ministry and prepare you for ministry opportunities to come. Even the general studies requirements are grounded in the concept that we are preparing you to write speak and even do math for ministry!

For me, one of the greatest things about The Kaleo Institute is that I am able to be better equipped for the calling God has on my life, not just prepared for a career. Though my calling can lead to a career, a career will never overtake my calling. Kaleo is the place to know how to walk in your calling too!

Simply put The Kaleo Institute means everything to me. When God blessed me with the desire of my heart to get a college degree based in His word, He provided the best by leading to me Kaleo. It was a confidence building, restrengthening of faith time. Delving into His Words brought a new found excitement, understanding and clarity of issues I had struggled with for so long. When I “asked” I “received” more than I could ever imagine.
