Students may checkout up to 5 circulating books at a time, for 4 weeks. These materials may be renewed twice for an additional 4 weeks each time. Audio/Video resources have shorter circulation periods.

When students and faculty are off-campus but still in the continental United States, they may request books from the library even if they are unable to visit the facility physically. Students and alumni can request books and other resources available in the online catalog by email. Staff will then mail the books; patrons should return the books so that they are postmarked by their due date (factoring in any renewals). Although The Kaleo Institute will cover shipping in the continental US, patrons are required to pay return postage. Unreturned books will be charged a replacement fee to the student account, replacement books are purchased through MBS Direct and charged to the student at the exact price (no mark up) plus shipping and handling costs and a $10 restocking fee.

Faculty Recommendations

The Kaleo Institute  Library gladly accepts Faculty recommendations for the acquisition of monographs, databases, periodicals and other materials. Please check the library catalog prior to making a request to make sure the Kaleo Library does not currently own the work. Specific information is needed to identify an item. Please provide the Kaleo library with the following information by email.

  • Title, author, edition, and format (book, video, CD, etc.) are essential
  • Publisher and date
  • ISBN is very helpful
